Hi! My friend just got their first dog, and I want to get them a useful gift. What’s something that every new dog parent needs but doesn’t realize at first?

One thing I wish I’d gotten earlier for Cooper is a good-quality dog grooming kit it’s such a lifesaver, particularly with his long fur! If your friend loves DIY, a recipe book for homemade dog treats could be fun too.
