Hey!

Which option works best for you and your dog, collar or harness?

I have worked with various dog trainers and the first insisted that my medium sized dog needed to use a collar to improve his leash walking. My current trainer recommended a front clip harness which my dog is far more comfortable with.

Which do you prefer?

Thanks!
Hannah

Hey Hannah!

I totally get what you mean, I’ve been through the same thing with Cooper. We’ve tried both a collar and a harness, and honestly, the harness works so much better for him. He’s a bit nervous on walks, so the collar sometimes made him feel more tense, especially when he pulled a little. The front clip harness has been a game-changer for us. I feel like I have more control, without making him feel restricted.

Cooper’s much happier with the harness, and I’ve heard the same from a lot of other dog owners.

Hey Hannah,

I personally use a harness for Diesel, especially since he’s a big guy. He’s pretty comfortable with it, and it helps with his walks. I’ve tried collars in the past, but Diesel tends to pull a bit, so the harness works better for us.

Hi Hannah,

I’ve always used a harness with Daisy, especially since she’s getting older. It’s gentler on her neck.
