Are Dogs Capable of Feeling Jealousy?

I've noticed some interesting behavior from my pug, Max, whenever I give attention to other dogs. He often becomes more clingy and will try to insert himself between me and the other dog. It got me thinking, are dogs capable of feeling jealousy? Do they have the emotional capacity to understand and react to situations that may trigger jealousy in humans? I'd love to hear from other dog owners who have observed similar behavior in their pets. Do you think dogs can experience jealousy, or is it just a projection of our own emotions onto them?
